Named in honor Major General Tasker Howard Bliss, USMA 1875, who was military attache' at Madrid when the Spanish-American War broke out. Later served as Chief of Staff, U. S. Army. He was a signer of the Treaties of Versailles and St. Germain. Ship known to have been in Yokohama in April 1946. |
